IT Technician

Iraq Horizon Technology, a leading IT solutions provider, is seeking a qualified IT Technician to join our team. The IT Technician will be responsible for providing technical support to our employees, ensuring the smooth operation of computer systems, networks, and other IT infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

• Installing and configuring hardware and software components, including servers, routers, switches, and network cards

• Troubleshooting technical issues and providing timely support to end-users

• Monitoring system performance and ensuring all systems are running efficiently

• Collaborating with other IT staff to identify and resolve technical issues

• Keeping up-to-date with the latest technology trends and developments

• Providing guidance and training to end-users on new and existing software applications

• Participating in the design, implementation, and maintenance of company networks and systems

Develop and maintain local networks in ways that optimize performance

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering or a related field

• At least 1 year of experience in a similar role

• Knowledge of computer hardware and software systems

• Experience with Microsoft Windows

Good knowledge of computer skills (Excel, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).

• Familiarity with networking protocols and technologies such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPNs

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment

• Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide solutions quickly

Certification as IT Technician will be an advantage (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified IT Professional, CCNA)
