The role
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Junior PACO Engineer to join our Iraq Business Unit.

Wood has been awarded an Onshore Project to support an International Client operation by providing Brownfield Engineering & Design Services. The Vision of this Contract is to enhance the production & assets integrity across various locations. Team of Engineers and Designers based in Basra and Dubai supports execution of these projects. Projects under this contract focuses on Flare system revamps/re-ignition, Rehab of aging assets, BTEX emission control, Flare Gas Recovery & Replacement/upgrade of obsolete equipment, piping & systems.

Key Objectives
Accountability:
- Reporting to the Lead PACO engineer the candidate will assume sole responsibility for assigned Instrument and Controls engineering work scopes
- To carry out Instrument and Controls discipline work within a project team, supporting the project team for field development of oil & gas production facilities
Primary Role:
- To prepare Instrument and Controls deliverables for all project Phases the oil and gas industry
- To ensure that all work is completed without compromise to quality and is delivered according to the project schedule
- To promote safe behavior at all times

Competencies:
- Good knowledge and understanding of the fundamentals of Instrument and Controls engineering design and analysis

Expected:
Business & Industry Experience
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in the oil and gas industry
- Experience of working with multi-national and multi-cultural project teams is strongly preferred
Educational Attainments:
- Degree in Instrument or Electronics Engineering (B.Sc./B.Eng./M.Sc.)
