Responsibilities

Wood is currently looking for Drilling Workover Field (Rig) Supervisor to support our team in Iraq/Basra on a rotational Basis 14/14 days ,Iraq Nationals are encouraged to apply, Basra residency card is required

  • Drilling and Workover Supervisor Trainees are recent engineering graduates who prepare for supervisory roles in drilling and workover operations on rigs. They work closely with experienced supervisors and gain practical experience in managing rig activities. The successful candidate will work closely with our experienced engineers and field personnel to learn about the equipment, tools, and processes used in drilling and workover operations.
  • Here are the key duties and responsibilities

Key accountabilities

  • Learn and assist in managing drilling and workover operations on the rig
  • Follow safety protocols and ensure a safe working environment
  • Observe and learn from experienced supervisors during rig shifts
  • Assist in identifying and resolving operational issues
  • Maintain records of rig activities, equipment, and personnel
  • Work with rig crew members to achieve operational goals
  • Attend training sessions and workshops related to rig operations
  • Prepare reports and documentation as required

Qualifications

  • Recent graduate Engineers
  • Petroleum Engineering
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team
  • Willingness to work in challenging and remote environments
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methods
  • Basic knowledge of drilling equipment and operations is a plus, but not required
  • English language skills required
