Laboratory Manager

Location: Karbala, Iraq

Job Summary:
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Laboratory Manager to lead the laboratory operations at our facility in Karbala. The ideal candidate will have a background in Chemical Engineering and a proven track record in examining raw materials and overseeing production quality. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with strong analytical skills to ensure the highest standards of quality and compliance in all laboratory operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee laboratory operations, ensuring accurate testing and analysis of raw materials and production outputs.
• Develop and implement quality control procedures to maintain product standards.
• Examine and evaluate raw materials to ensure compliance with required specifications.
• Conduct regular testing during production to ensure quality consistency.
• Maintain detailed records of laboratory tests and results for reporting and analysis.
• Manage laboratory equipment, ensuring proper calibration and maintenance.
• Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations within the laboratory.
• Collaborate with production teams to address quality issues and improve processes.
• Train and supervise laboratory staff to ensure efficiency and competency.
• Provide detailed reports on laboratory findings and quality assessments to management.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering.
• Minimum 15 years of experience with 2- 3 years of experience in a managerial or supervisory role in laboratory management, with a strong focus on raw materials and production quality.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with quality control and testing methodologies in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong organizational and record-keeping abilities.
• Proficiency in using laboratory equipment and software.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in a laboratory setting.
• Strong communication skills in Arabic; English proficiency is a plus.
• Local candidates preferred.
