Job Overview

Laundry attendant primary responsibility is ensuring that all linens, towels, and uniforms are properly cleaned, ironed, and sorted; and ensuring effective utilization of washing machines, dryers, and irons and other laundry equipment.

 

Position duties and responsibilities:

  • Places linen, towels and uniforms in containers to be laundered.
  • Receives, sorts and double-checks conditions of all linen and uniforms records all outgoing and incoming from the laundry thoroughly before storing and issuing.
  • Sort’s items and counts and records the number of items received.
  • Examines laundered items to ensure cleanliness and serviceability.
  • Sends torn-out pieces to the tailor for repair or to the Store Dept to receive new ones in case of not being repairable.
  • Utilizes cleaning detergents and chemicals.
  • Creating Laundry labels with identifiable guest information.
  • Stores laundered linen and uniforms on shelves after verifying numbers and types.
  • Knowing basic tailoring works is advantageous.
  • Performs all duties and responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with hotel policies and procedures.
  • To understand and adhere to the Hotel’s employee rules & regulations.
  • Abide by dress code: wearing the correct uniform and name tag at all times.
  • Performs any other duties as assigned to him/her by management.

 

Position Requirement:

  • Minimum one year working experience in Laundry is a must.
  • Physical mobility and stamina.
  • Time efficiency and detail-oriented.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Ability to work in shifts and flexible hours.
