The role
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Material Controller 2 to join our Iraq Business Unit.

This Project aims to take over the existing asset and maximize the production in 2 phases. This is a fast-track project and schedule-oriented Design to enhance the production.
The Phase 1 will restore, upgrade, and develop the current plant (CPF1) including: Restoration of initial CPF1 capacity; building a new export pipeline (24”, ~30km); restoration of CPF1 integrity and operability; flaring elimination and released water; development of new flowlines, pads, and electrification network for approximately 30 new wells; debottlenecking of the plant; upgrade of the Safety and Security facilities.
Our scope is to provide Engineering, Procurement services and Construction assistance (EPsCa) for the initial development phase of the field in Southern Iraq. The scope of services includes FEED, detailed design, procurement support, and construction and commissioning assistance.

Key Objectives
- Manage and oversee the flow of incoming and outgoing materials at the oil plant construction site, ensuring strict adherence to control and tracking procedures.
- Coordinate the activities of material receiving, storage, and distribution, ensuring compliance with industry specifications and standards.
- Collaborate with procurement and logistics teams to plan and coordinate material deliveries based on the construction project’s requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of stock levels, material movements, and inventory reports, providing regular updates to the project management team.
- Identify and report potential issues related to material control, proposing solutions and improvements to optimize operational efficiency.
HSE activities:
- Support and enforce project guidelines and HSE objectives.
- Attend HSE meetings and training when necessary.
- Participate in Job Safety Analysis, make suggestions, stop dangerous situations, and report anomalies and dangerous acts.
Activities, for his area of expertise:
- Oversight of material receiving, inspection, and verification processes to ensure compliance with quality and quantity requirements.
- Coordination of material storage, including proper handling, preservation, and inventory management to prevent damage or loss.
- Implementation and enforcement of material control procedures and standards to maintain accuracy and integrity of inventory data.
- Collaboration with procurement teams to forecast material requirements and ensure timely availability of materials for construction activities.
- Monitoring and reporting on material consumption rates and stock levels to support project scheduling and resource allocation.
- Conducting regular audits of material inventory to identify discrepancies and implement corrective actions as necessary.
- Liaising with vendors and suppliers to resolve material quality issues, discrepancies, and delivery delays.
- Utilization of material management systems and software to track, analyze, and optimize material flow and inventory accuracy.
- Training and supervision of material handling and warehouse personnel to ensure adherence to material control best practices and safety protocols.
- Contribution to the development and improvement of material control processes to enhance efficiency and minimize costs.
- Oversee the contractor teams and material follow-up.
- Collaborate with various stakeholders to resolve material-related issues.
- Prepare, plan, and control material follow-up and tracker in line with requirements.
- Anticipate supplies for the smooth running of the site
- Establish the daily report (progress of work, number of people, highlights, etc.).
- Maintain inventory of materials and ensure the replacement and ordering of such; conduct regular stock checks and keep up-to-date records of equipment and materials entering and leaving the stock
- Handle back load and manifest items.
- Safeguard all materials and equipment for environmental conditions.
- Act as Head of Warehouse advisor.
- Exercise overall control over the receipt, identification, recording, storage, and issue of all materials received in the Company warehouses for onward dispatch to the Company’s operational areas.

Expected:
- Bachelor’s / Engineering Degree in supply chain management, logistic, industrial engineering, or business administration.
- Prior experience in a similar role in the oil and gas industry, preferably within the field of oil plant construction.
- In-depth knowledge of material control procedures and standards within the energy sector.
- Ability to work effectively in a complex and rapidly evolving project environment.
Experience using material management systems and stock tracking software.
