PURPOSE OF DIVISION:
Islamic Relief Worldwide (IRW) is an international relief and development charity that envisages a caring world where people unite to respond to the suffering of others, empowering them to fulfil their potential. We are an independent Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) founded in the UK in 1984. Working in 40 countries, we promote sustainable economic and social development by working with local communities to eradicate poverty, illiteracy and disease. We also respond to disasters and emergencies, helping people in crisis. Islamic Relief provides support regardless of religion, ethnicity, or gender and without expecting anything in return.
Islamic Relief Worldwide (IRW) has been working in Iraq for more than 20 years. IRW-Iraq was amongst the few aid agencies those were on the ground since 2003. Islamic Relief Worldwide Iraq is implementing several projects in the sector of livelihoods, WASH, Education, and Protection.
KEY WORKING RELATIONSHIPS
Roles and Responsibilities:

- Ensure that the country set up comply with IRW policies and donor requirements.
- Ensure anti-corruption/Fraud focus in procedures.
- Provide regular analysis and reports.
Specific responsibilities:
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
The job holder is accountable for fulfilling his or her roles and responsibilities in line with Islamic values and principles of fairness, humanity, honesty, respect and fair treatment of his/her colleagues and staff.
- Key Accountability 1: Collect and consolidate all data and information relate to Project
- Initiate project planning including conduction of necessary data collection
- Provide quantitative and qualitative analysis to the project team for decision making
- lead developing LFA matrix and periodically review
- Review and track the progress of the LFA
- Support the project staff to conduct monitoring of the activities of the project
- Regular contact with stakeholders and targeted communities.
- Work closely in coordination with IRI head of programs.
- Key Accountability 2: Monitoring and Progress Reporting
- Develop monitoring matrix for data collection
- Develop monitoring plan, tracking matrix, and implement it for the purpose
- Develop the MEAL plan, and update it on a monthly basis
- Compile monthly and periodical monitoring report
- Support the Program Manager in preparing reports and regular update of the Log Frame with quantitative and qualitative information
- Prepare necessary repots on monthly, quarterly, and annually basis
- Develop data collection tools, help code tools on data collection platforms such as kobo, and assist with data analysis and reporting.
- Key Accountability 3: Document Project Success and progress systematically
- Identifying the documents best practices and breakthroughs
- Document process of implementation and project success
- Develop a process-based case stories by selecting individuals in the field
- Develop a fact sheet and update on monthly sheets
- Maintain an updated CFM database to respond to complaints and feedback and proactively enter rightsholder complaints/suggestions into the database and address them immediately.
- Provide necessary information for media and publication for visibility purposes.
- Key Accountability 4: Monitoring the project outcomes & results based on the Log Frame
- Work closely with the project teams and Programme Coordinator.
- Follow IRW, Iraq QMS for effective project implementation and monitoring of the project.
- Key Accountability 5: Field Monitoring and Improvement
- Conduct a regular field visit 50-60% to measure the progress, measure data and information
- To coach and mentor the field assistant to optimum utilize their time in the field to improve their performance
- Develop case stories, conduct interviews and fact sheets
- Share the field information for management and decision making
- Conduct Monitoring and Reporting tanning of the staff
- Conduct weekly field visits to monitor complaint boxes, set up an information desk to receive suggestions/feedback from rights holders, and disseminate project information to rights holders through group discussions and face-to-face interviews.
- Assist in the development of information, education and communication (IEC) materials relating to the accountability framework, proactively contributing to the design of IEC posters, leaflets and banners.
- Perform any assigned tasks by the Programme Coordinator, MEAL Coordinator and IRW Iraq management.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
- A) EDUCATION/TRAINING
Required:
- University degree in Social Sciences, Development studies or related field
- B) EXPERIENCE
- 3-5 years’ experience in the field of MEAL working with INGOs/NGOs.
Required:
Professional Qualifications
- Extensive experience in working for NGO or INGOs on Development fields with a minimum of three years of relevant experience
- Demonstrated capacities to establish and maintain strong, collaborative working relationships with government officials, local organizations, communities and other stakeholders.
- English-language proficiency (speaking, reading, writing).
- Good writing and reporting skills
- Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
- Proficiency in computer applications (MS Word, Excel, Power point)
