Mechanical Engineer – Site Inspector

Job Overview

Position Purpose:

Carried out all ITP-Inspection Test Plans, and method statements in accordance with the accurate  ITP requirement, relevant code, standard, etc. Tests and valid 3rd party tests in accordance with the Project Quality Plan-PQP. Coordinate with Warehouse, Purchasing, Project Engineer, Certifying Authority, Customer, Expeditors, QA /QC, and Testing Laboratories.

Participates in punch items raised by different WG departments, testing, and commissioning. Maintain database, and Tracked quality assurance progress. Provides input to documentation for area and equipment over the complete VDU project.

Oversee all VDU- Project construction output quality inspections before final handover to the operation and ensure all the punch items are addressed and close.  Support Project Engineer and Site Manager to Calculate, and Analysis all significant quantities required for to be complete in VDU Project.

Position Accountabilities:

Ø  Guarantee material received in line with PO, ITP, and Technical Material Approved Specifications, Codes, and Material standards to verify conformity.

Ø  Carried out all Mechanical inspections and results should be properly documented at the VDU Project Site checklist and upon any non-conformity that exists, appropriate documents-OS&D, NCR, etc must be issued to establish corrective action.

Ø  Perform receiving inspections such as visual, dimensional, verification of markings, review of Material Test Certificates, and Inspection in accordance with project specifications, codes, material standards,s and VDU Project SOW-Scope Of Work.

Ø  Analysis of the test reports and evaluate further testing requirements. Provide input to Site Manager and Project engineer as and when required.

Ø  Coordinate with Warehouse for safe storage of material assuring conformity to VDU project specifications

Lead Joint Inspection of Equipment, Pipeline, Valves, etc. Inspection as per VDU project requirements and compliance with the Audit requirement.

 

Qualifications/Experience/Skills:

Ø  3 Years Diploma with high years of experience, Degree in Mechanical Engineer will Preferred.

Ø  Strong background in Welding, Piping, Painting, NDT, Refractory, GRE, and Equipment +5 years Quality control or related experience in Weld, Material, in oil & Gas Projects.

Ø  Knowledge of different Materials, Codes, Material standards, Customer specification, Manufacturing processes & Testing Methods is desirable

Ø  ASNT level II in RT, PT, MT, and UT.

BGAS II / NACE CIP II preferred.
