Merchandiser – Baghdad

We are seeking talented and experienced Merchandiser to join our team in Basra, Iraq. As a Merchandiser, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the effective management and presentation of our products to drive sales and enhance the overall customer experience. You will work closely with the sales and Hisense marketing teams to develop and implement merchandising strategies that align with our business objectives.
Responsibilities:
Conduct regular store visits to assess product availability, visibility, and overall merchandising standards.
Collaborate with the sales team to develop effective merchandising plans and strategies for maximizing sales and customer engagement.
Ensure proper product placement, pricing, and promotional materials in line with company guidelines.
Monitor inventory levels and work closely with the supply chain team to ensure adequate stock availability and timely replenishment.
Analyze sales data and market trends to identify opportunities for product placement and assortment improvements.
Build strong relationships with store owners and managers to negotiate optimal product placement and promotional activities.
Train and educate store staff on merchandising best practices and product knowledge.
Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to drive innovative merchandising strategies.
Prepare regular reports on merchandising activities, sales performance, and market feedback.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Merchandiser or similar role, preferably in the retail industry.
Strong knowledge of merchandising principles, techniques, and best practices.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret sales data and market trends.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal teams, store staff, and vendors.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel for data analysis.
Flexibility to travel within the assigned territory.
Fluent in English and Kurdish, Arabic is plus.
