The Role:

Digital Zone is looking for a Business Intelligence Associate to help our business teams make knowledgeable data-driven decisions, keeping an eye on our business and sales dynamics proactively, and keeping our operations running smoothly & efficiently.

Responsibilities:

Business Intelligence

• Understand our data schema, and all different aspects of our business (operational, commercial, product, and marketing) to assist our business teams providing reports and analyses that would help make decisions.
• Write advanced and complex SQL queries to analyze complex data structures, testing and validating results.
• Visualize our data in the most easy to grasp models and charts.
• Support our commercial team with handling supplier & merchant requests that may include reporting (data extraction) and analysis.
• Build reliable data-driven reports for our teams that help our business keep an eye on important metrics.
• Identify trends and patterns and help our product team understand the root cause of anomalies.
• Evangelize data-driven decision making, and coach our colleagues on how to think of problems with numbers and metrics.

Business Empowerment

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, facilitating workshops and brainstorming sessions to identify pain points and business needs and translate them into technical requirements.
• Support business teams with suggesting, setting-up, and activating software systems and technology based solutions for day-to-day problems that provide a competitive edge and improve operational efficiency.
• Automate impactful and costly business processes, reducing manual effort and needed man-power.
• Develop ad-hoc tools and scripts for business teams as a first-phase implementation, to experiment and polish requirements prior to incorporating features within our product.

Qualifications:

• 3+ Years of experience in Data Analysis or adjacent technical fields.
• Deep understanding of relational databases (SQL), Analytics, and Data Visualization concepts.
• Proficient in writing complex analytical SQL queries.
• Good understanding of statistics fundamentals.
• Prior experience with digital businesses/apps/websites analytics (ex e-commerce)
• Familiarity in Data Visualization tools like Tableu, Metabase, Amplitude, or Mixpanel.
• Knowledge Python or other automation tools is a plus.
• Knowledge of numpy or other data science tools is a plus.
