Essential:

  • The Plumber must be of a Technical status and have a minimum of 2 years relevant post qualification experience.
  • Experience of plumbing pipework installation and maintenance inc hot and cold systems and grey and Black water systems.
  • Experience of legionella prevention and control measures.
  • Proven ability of applying good environmental practices in tasks performed including the investigation of accidents and incidents, carrying out risk assessments and risk control and complying with UK health and safety legislations.
  • Capable of producing written reports and recording time/materials for jobs
  • ┬áMust be fluent in English language levels, written and oral to a minimum of IELTS 5

Preferred:

  • Experience of working on operations in austere remote sites or in developing nations
  • Ideally hold AP certificates in disciplines such as Confined Spaces, Compressed Gases and/or Pressure Vessels.

 

Core Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for ensuring compliance with the Health and Safety at Works Act and implementing Safe Systems of Work.
  • Ensure a good understanding of codes of practice, British Standard and good working practice is imparted to the plumbing Team.
  • Pro-actively promote an open and honest HSE culture within the plumbing department.
  • Undertake plumbing repairs to be undertaken and satisfactorily completed within contracted timescales as dictated by the Plumbing Supervisor.
  • Initiation and ordering of materials via the Stores Request Service.
  • Present a positive image of KBR at all times.
  • Provide assistance to the O&M Manager on non-related plumbing matters as and when required.
  • Provide support and technical advice to the on-site plumbing Technicians in relation to the investigation of faults and problems and advise on all HVAC related matters.
  • Ensure document control accountability for all KBR forms used in relation to the tasks undertaken on site.
  • Deliver the scheduled maintenance and inspection of all site plumbing distribution and all plumbing equipment.
  • Ensure rigorous implementation of the statutory routine testing for Legionella in accordance with the planned maintenance schedule.
  • Deliver/oversee repairs of plumbing equipment / systems.
  • Produce written reports and updates for the various aspects of plumbing related operations.
  • Any other duties as directed by your line Manager.
