Position Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced PMC Construction Interface Manager to oversee and manage all construction-related interface activities for a prestigious Oil & Gas pipeline construction project in Basra, Iraq. The Construction Interface Manager will act as a primary coordinator between various stakeholders, ensuring alignment, resolving conflicts, and maintaining seamless communication across multiple disciplines during the construction phase. This role demands strong leadership, technical expertise, and a proven track record in managing interfaces within large-scale construction projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the main point of contact for all construction interface-related activities, ensuring effective coordination between project teams, contractors, and stakeholders.
- Develop and implement interface management processes and procedures to address construction-related challenges.
- Ensure alignment between engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning teams to achieve project objectives.
- Monitor and resolve interface conflicts and issues in a timely and efficient manner to avoid project delays.
- Conduct regular interface coordination meetings with internal and external stakeholders to ensure clear communication and alignment.
- Identify and mitigate risks related to construction interfaces, updating the risk register as necessary.
- Maintain detailed records of all interface activities, including communications, agreements, and resolutions.
- Prepare and present progress reports on construction interface management to senior management and stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, contractual obligations, and HSE standards.
- Foster a collaborative and proactive approach among multidisciplinary teams to resolve construction-related challenges.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Experience:
- 12-15 years of experience in construction and interface management, with a focus on Oil & Gas or pipeline construction projects.
- Proven experience in a PMC environment and working in Iraq or similar regions is highly desirable.
- Skills:
- Strong understanding of construction processes, interface management principles, and risk management.
- Excellent problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for stakeholder coordination.
- Proficiency in project management and reporting tools.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.
