Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced PMC Electrical Supervisor – Construction Supervisor Stations to oversee electrical construction activities related to stations for a high-profile Oil & Gas pipeline construction project in Basra, Iraq. The Electrical Supervisor will ensure all electrical works, including installation, testing, and commissioning, comply with project specifications, timelines, and safety standards. This role demands strong technical expertise in electrical systems, leadership skills, and experience managing large-scale construction projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate all electrical construction activities for stations, ensuring alignment with project specifications, standards, and schedules.
- Monitor the installation of electrical systems, equipment, and wiring, verifying compliance with quality standards and design requirements.
- Conduct regular site inspections to assess progress and address construction challenges.
- Collaborate with contractors, subcontractors, and project teams to resolve technical issues and ensure smooth execution of electrical works.
- Review electrical drawings, schematics, and specifications to ensure accuracy and adherence to project requirements.
- Oversee electrical testing, commissioning, and handover activities, ensuring functionality and safety of installed systems.
- Ensure proper handling, storage, and installation of electrical materials and equipment.
- Promote adherence to HSE policies and foster a safety-first culture across all electrical construction activities.
- Prepare and submit progress reports, including updates on electrical works, risks, and mitigation strategies.
- Mentor and guide team members to enhance performance and technical skills.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Experience:
- 8-12 years of experience in electrical construction supervision, with a focus on Oil & Gas or pipeline projects.
- Proven experience in a PMC environment and station construction is highly desirable.
- Skills:
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, installation processes, and relevant codes (e.g., IEC, NEC, IEEE).
- Proficiency in interpreting electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and specifications.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Strong leadership and communication skills for effective coordination with teams and stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain high-quality standards in a dynamic environment.
