PMC – Security Lead (Construction)-Basra, IRAQ

Position Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced PMC Security Lead (Construction) to oversee and manage all security operations for a high-profile Oil & Gas pipeline construction project in Basra, Iraq. The Security Lead will ensure the safety and security of personnel, assets, and facilities by implementing and monitoring effective security measures. This role requires strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of security protocols, and extensive experience in managing security for large-scale construction projects in challenging environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and oversee the security management plan for the project, ensuring alignment with project requirements and local regulations.
• Manage all security operations at construction sites, project offices, and associated facilities.
• Coordinate with local authorities, security contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and collaboration on security matters.
• Conduct risk assessments to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities, and implement mitigation strategies.
• Supervise and monitor security personnel to ensure compliance with established protocols and procedures.
• Respond to and manage security incidents, including investigations and reporting to senior management.
• Provide regular security briefings and training for project staff and contractors to ensure awareness and compliance with security measures.
• Monitor and manage access control systems to ensure the safety of project sites and facilities.
• Prepare and maintain security documentation, including incident reports, risk assessments, and security plans.
• Ensure compliance with HSE standards and project-specific safety requirements in all security operations.
