Procurement Buyer

Job Summary

The Procurement Buyer is responsible for purchasing the highest quality materials, goods, and services at the most competitive prices. and ensuring the delivery of products to meet the company’s operational needs.

Responsibilities:

• Assisting with materials requirement planning, purchasing and ensuring that correct materials are purchased within budgeted costs and on time.
• Processing purchase orders using the preferred organizational methodology, ensuring orders are loaded accurately and at standard cost and all relevant data is kept up to date.
• Preparing reports of procurement-related activities, reporting on all procurement transactions and activities within a specific time for the procurement manager to review and subsequently submit to management actions.
• Assisting with materials costs, working to achieve competitive quotations from different sources while operating within the current purchasing framework.
• Process the procurement process for local orders. And issue RFQ after receipt of purchase requisitions, ensuring quick response from suppliers.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions of contracts with suppliers.
• Obtain offers from local vendors and evaluate proposals based on price, quality, and delivery terms for items requested by these departments.

Preferred Qualifications:   

• Experience in O/S (Windows Server, Linux) will be a plus.
• understanding of Oracle Database and its maintenance and Forms 6i, Reports 6i, XML Publisher, will be a plus.
• In-depth knowledge of Oracle database architecture and administration will be a plus.
• Strong SQL and PLSQL skills for database query and script development
• Strong understanding of ERP concepts and business processes
• Oracle certifications (e.g., Oracle E-Business Suite R12 Applications DBA Certified Professional) is a plus.
• Experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager and other monitoring tools will be a plus.
