Overview / Responsibilities
Wood is currently recruiting for a Production Chemist on a 4/4 rotation located at ROO HQ in Basra, Iraq.
A member of the Optimization and Performance team reporting to the Optimization and Performance Manager.
The position is based in the Rumaila HQ, with requirement for daily visits to support field operations teams.
The role will support production chemistry related activities including trouble shooting at the degassing stations and working with various teams to ensure crude quality, gas export quality, PW quality and laboratory analysis.
Individual must be qualified in oil and gas separation, flow assurance, corrosion mitigation, foam suppression, biological controls and monitoring, PW treatment, as well as related laboratory analysis and management.
As a member of ROO Operations, the role is expected to embrace and adopt the ROO Code of Conduct (CoC), safety leadership principles and uphold the values of ROO.
The role will be expected to provide mentoring and support the development of our national team members.

Skills / Qualifications
- Degree qualified
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in onshore brownfield experience
- A self-motivated, proactive individual with high achievement drive and initiative, excellent verbal and written communication skills and good organizational awareness
