Job Overview

Position Title: Programs Specialist

Appointment Title: Full-time Employee

Contract Length: 12 Months Renewable Contract

Reporting To: Programs Manager

Job Description:

The Programs Specialist will support the programs team and oversee the implementation projects assigned. They will coordinate the activities of a designated program to safeguard the objectives and results are achieved in line with deadlines, budget limitations, and as specified by the logical framework.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the activities of designated programs.
  • Monitors budget expenditures to assure the program is neither under or overspending.
  • Create project schedules that include materials estimates and manpower needs to be submitted to management.
  • Coordinate project management activities, resources, equipment, and information.
  • Analyze risks and opportunities.
  • Supporting the leading Program Officer by recording and documenting minutes for the drafting of ongoing project reports.
  • Maintaining communication with both participants and trainers during the duration of their participation in The Station’s related projects.
  • Attending all relevant meetings, training, interviews, etc.

Required Qualifications and/or Experience:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate with internal and external clients.
  • Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel, and Outlook).
  • Well-equipped and familiar with the management of training workshops.
  • Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service.
  • Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of our policies, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is preferred.
  • Must have fluent written and spoken English and Kurdish. Additional languages are desirable.
