Medication Management: Prescribe and monitor medications to manage mental health conditions.
Crisis Intervention: Psychiatrists handle emergency situations, such as suicidal or violent behavior.
Maintaining Records: Keeping detailed patient records, including treatment plans and progress notes.
Support: Provide support to patients online and in person.
Provide psychosocial support sessions for patients.
Continuing Education: Staying updated with the latest research and developments in psychiatry.
Confidentiality: Keep confidentiality of the patient’s records and files.
Skills and Qualifications:
Medical Degree: Completion of medical school and a residency in psychiatry.
Licensing: Must be licensed to practice medicine and psychiatry.
Communication Skills: Strong ability to communicate with patients and other healthcare providers.
Empathy and Compassion: Essential for understanding and treating patients effectively.
Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze patient information and develop appropriate treatment plans.
Languages: Preferred Arabic, and Kurdish, English is additional point.
