Overview / Responsibilities
Wood is looking for Public Relations Officer (PRO) to join our team in iraq .
- Manage mobilization and security duties to make sure all the paperwork is in place for a smooth and compliance mobilization
- Manage the coordination of oilfield security paperwork and entry paperwork for Iraqi nationals and expats.
- Monitor and track directly the POCs between Wood and local Iraqi businesses. Bus company, airport taxis, hotel and conference venues.
- Direct link between client EMIL Local National Managers under the Staffing Contract specifically but be prepared to assist SPRO with other client tasks.
- Provide local intelligence by meeting and liaising with the Oilfield Regional Commanders.
- Act as an Arabic speaker and translator for all in-country issues and any relevant management requests.
- Foster a good working relationship and interface/liaise with the BOC/immigration/MoI and all Iraq government agencies for any issues relevant to the Staffing contract.
- Assist the Wood IOM and ML with visa applications (as required) and BOC approval.
- Act as the company representative in the local clinic during annual blood test for all WOOD employees
- VLA applications and renewals on time.
- SCS OFP on time with no delay to deployments.
- Accommodation tracker checks and accountability.
- PCR & Bloods test on time with no delay.
- Iraq office-based team plus personnel on all contracts and primarily mobilisation.
Skills / Qualifications
- At least 3 years’ experience in Iraq working within a transferable skills sector with admin and/or mobilisation experience
- Ability to plan strategically and working within plans, rosters, mobilisation charts, Microsoft project and Sharepoint
- Provide quality field office support and operations compliance with GEI procedures
- Ability to meet tight deadlines and work independently
- Demonstrate strong facilitation, negotiation and networking skills
- Working in team and team building
- Ability to produce quality work with a high degree of accuracy, handle changes in priorities and coordinate work on multiple tasks
- Good problem solving skills, organizational capabilities and attention to detail
- Sound judgment, high degree of initiative and ability to work independently
- Strong team work orientation, good interpersonal skills, and a proven ability to work effectively with a range of clients and colleagues
