Job description

 

Overall purpose
 

In strong cooperation with Deputy field co, north PMs, technical coordinators and the medical team in the Q/I areas, the Focal Point serves as a facilitator. It is in charge of the follow-up of the activities, assignments and evaluations.

 

Responsibilities and scope of duties
–  Ensure the proper implementation of activities at the Q/I areas in DHK and MSL.

–  Ensure that all IPC measures and precautions are followed in the Q/I areas.

–  Make regular field visits for all three Q/I areas in coordination with the line manager.

–  Make regular and direct supervision of staff working in Q/I areas and planning the attendance for both PUI and DOH staffs.

–  Managing of the stock for medical and non-medical items and ensuring the availability of all items.

–  Establishing and regularly following up on the referral mechanism and process with DOH and PHCCs facilities and ensuring the documentation of all referred cases.

–  Make regular reporting on the activities to the line manager and seeking technical support from the technical coordinators.

–  Work in close coordination with the PHCCMs/PMs.

–  Coordinate with other partners managing Q/I areas for smooth running of the activities and for any needs addressed by the beneficiaries.

–  Ensure that the registered patients are following their treatments in the isolation area and the treatment for chronic diseases (in collaboration with PHCC managers)

–  Contribute to the Assessment of the Training Needs of the Q/I staff in collaboration with the deputy health coordinator.

–  Ensure the follow up of the medical care provided in the Q/I areas to the beneficiaries and management of the referral cases and contribute to the promotion of trust and ties between beneficiaries and services available to them.

Specific goals and related activities
1.         MANAGEMENT OF THE Q/I AREAS IN DOHUK AND MOSUL.

 

·         Participate in the establishment of the Q/I areas

·         Plan the health care provision for activities in the Q/I areas.

·         Participate in developing SoPs for Q/I area, referral mechanism and Infection, Prevention and Control measures (IPC) guidelines for Q/I area.

·         Ensure that staff strictly adheres to the IPC measures at Q/I area.

·          Ensure contact tracing of the suspected and confirmed cases through PUI CHWs in coordination with the PHCC managers.

·         Supervise and work closely with the MHPSS team working at Q/I areas and ensuring the proper referral of patients/clients at Q/I areas who acquire specialized Mental health services.

 

2.         DATA COLLECTION AND REPORTING

 

  • Contribute with the line manager and MEAL team on the design of a database to collect and assess the data of suspected and confirmed cases.
  • Fill accurately, timely the databases and other registration forms, to be shared with the line manager.
  • Provide accurate information on services and rights to the beneficiaries.
  • Provide the line manager with weekly/monthly reports on the activities held in the implementation area, including achievements and constraints faced.

 

3.         OTHER DUTIES

 

  • Attend team meeting regularly
  • Participate in team coordination meetings
  • Attend any training planned by the line manager
  • Perform any duties in a line of his job description when requested by the line manager
  • Be respectful of the patient needs and those of their relatives
  • Treat all patients equally with respect to ethical and confidential issues
