R&D Specialist (Research-Development Specialist)

Requirements:

Education: Bachelors in: Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science and Engineering, Chemistry Teaching

Experience: Preferably 1-2 years

Language: Kurdish, and English (B2 according to CEFR Standards), preferably Turkish
DRIVING LICENSE: Preferably
COMPUTER KNOWLEDGE: Proficient in MS Office Programs
PROFESSIONAL SKILLS: Preferably;
Product Knowledge
Production Process Knowledge
Market and Competitor Products Knowledge
Construction Chemicals Products Testing Standards and Test Equipment Knowledge

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.1. To create new product design or existing product development ideas by following technological developments and the market (through fairs, seminars, customer visits, etc.).
1.2. To conduct formulation studies for products planned to be studied specifically for the Iraqi Enterprise, and to report the results.
1.3. To plan, follow up and report pilot production results within the scope of the product development process if the formulation studies are found positive.
1.4. To examine the competitors of the products being developed and/or the competitor products received for periodic analysis and to report the results.
1.5. To examine customer complaints received specifically for the Iraqi Enterprise productions and to report them when necessary.
1.6. To test alternative raw materials specifically for the Iraqi Enterprise productions, evaluate the results and submit them for approval. To inform the relevant units for alternative raw materials whose processes have been completed.
1.7. To support the relevant unit in alternative/new raw material and contract product research studies when necessary.
1.8. Control/monitoring of the processes carried out in the Iraqi Enterprise Quality Control Laboratory.

1.9. Coordinating training plans for new personnel joining the quality control team with the R&D Center.

1.10. Periodic trainings are organized for the quality control team and application and test method information is reinforced.

1.11. Developing the necessary methods in case of first-time certification from the developed product standards, performing tests that will determine the performance of the products according to the developed methods, supporting the relevant business units in the execution of the process.

1.12. Monitoring the issues under the responsibility of the R&D unit in the CE, QB-CSTB, ETAG etc. certification processes for the products produced in the Iraqi Enterprise, and carrying out the process together with other external units.

1.13. Systematically archiving the technical information and all studies compiled during the R&D activities.

1.14. Ensuring the order and cleanliness of the laboratory and warehouses together with the Quality Control team. Using/ensuring the use of consumables economically and devices sensitively.

1.15. Establishing relations with relevant institutions and organizations at home and abroad on technical issues.

1.16. Responding to information requests from domestic and foreign customers.

1.17. Conducting evaluation/recycling studies of unsuitable inputs and products within the scope of the Iraqi Enterprise.

1.18. When necessary, providing support for the solution of production problems of the Iraqi Enterprise.

1.19. Monitoring regulations affecting human and environmental health such as REACH, Biocidal Products, VOC, KEK, ADR and carrying out the necessary studies in coordination with the Business Excellence and Sustainability department.

1.20. Carrying out necessary corrective activities to continuously increase product quality, process efficiency, quality system effectiveness and eliminate risks related to occupational safety.

1.21. Providing support to Six Sigma projects when necessary.
