Refinery Manager – Expats only

On behalf of an independent operator, WRS are looking for a Refinery Manager to work in Kurdistan on a permanent basis. This will be a residential role based in Suliaymaniyah, managing the day-to-day operations of the 40,000 BPD refinery.

 

Job Duties include:

 

– Responsibility for ensuring day to day production forecasts are achieved on the refinery

– Responsibility for ensuring that products produced meet specification

– Defining overall mission statement for refinery

– Defining overall goals and objectives for refinery as a whole and ensures departmental goals and objectives are developed to align with these overall objectives

– Setting Key Performance Indicators for all direct reports and monitors performance against target

– Responsibility for the overall refinery expense budget

– Responsibility for overall refinery investment budget

 

Ideal candidate will have:

 

– Engineering degree in related discipline

– Experience in Oil and Gas Downstream operations ideally with15 years+ refinery experience in various management levels.

– Experience in coordinating multi-disciplinary activities and a proven ability to work across departments and workgroups

– Strong management skills

– Strong communication skills

– Experience in remote/desert environments is preferrable
