Level of effort: Within 4 months [April-July 2024], the expert will be working 10 days for development & designing of the curriculum, 10 days for delivering capacity building trainings and 10 days for further development of the curriculum.

About Us:

The Near East Foundation (NEF) works with community-based organizations (CBOs) to strengthen the livelihoods of community members through asset building, income generation, skills training, and business creation.

As part of the Anbar Business & Workforce Advancement for Improved Living Conditions (ABWA) project, NEF has located business activation services within Vocational Training & Youth Centers, adapting NEF’s proven Siraj model of community-based business hubs in three cities (Al Ramadi, Heet and Fallujah). Siraj Centers are structured as a network of centers that are operated by independent CBO partners.

SERVICES DESCRIPTION:

The Curriculum Development Expert is responsible for the creation, designing, and graphic-designing Financial Inclusion curriculum. The expert is also responsible for conducting training sessions for NEF’s Master Trainers and Coaches, ensuring that the curriculum effectively addresses the needs of diverse participants. Leveraging his/her expertise in curriculum design and graphic design, the expert will craft visually appealing materials that resonate with stakeholders. Through dynamic facilitation, they empower trainers with the knowledge and skills needed to deliver the required training to the project’s participants.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the creation, design, and graphic designing of the Financial Inclusion curriculum, ensuring it aligns with project objectives and meets the diverse needs of participants.
  • Conduct training sessions for NEF’s Master Trainers and Coaches, employing dynamic facilitation techniques to ensure effective knowledge transfer.
  • Craft visually appealing curriculum that enhance participant engagement and comprehension, leveraging expertise in curriculum design and graphic design.
  • Collaborate with project staff NEF management to gather feedback and continuously improve curriculum content and/or its design and delivery methods throughout the project life.
  • Empower trainers with the knowledge and skills required to effectively deliver training to project participants, fostering their professional development and capacity-building.

Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree (Master’s or above) in Education, Curriculum Development, or a related field, specializing in financial inclusion.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience leading curriculum development projects, with a focus on complex financial inclusion topics.
  • Proficiency in advanced design for creating impactful educational materials.
  • Proven track record of delivering high-impact training sessions to diverse audiences, employing adult learning principles.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, with experience engaging stakeholders across various levels.
  • Passion for driving social impact and a commitment to advancing financial inclusion initiatives.
  • Arabic & English proficiency is essential.
