Job Overview

Summary
  • To consolidate the radio plans from Shareholders (on a site by site basis) in order to maximize the benefit of the shared network infrastructure, whilst supporting the Shareholders in achieving their respective network coverage, performance, capacity and reliability goals.
  • This position may require considerable public contact to explain standards and regulations of planning department, for this, technical assistance should be provided.
Key Responsibilities
  • End to End radio design for 2G/3G/4G.
  • Monitors the day-to-day site operations and projects, including expansion, frequency plan, site operation and initial optimization.
  • Conducts engineering related studies, evaluates alternatives, makes recommendations and presents reports to the direct manager.
  • Support team on a day-to-day or project basis, including determining workloads and schedules, developing and implementing procedures.
  • Monitors and design including reviewing plans, specifications, estimates and calculations and giving technical advice on corrective action.
  • Determine the coverage, quality and capacity requirements for every region/area.
  • Set recommendations to resolve problems and Adding/Expanding Sites/Licenses.
  • Strategic planning for all required equipment from the radio perspective.
  • Optimize the capacity of the network to meet traffic increase.
  • Ensure that design guarantees the capability for the network to provide end-user new services.
  • Perform physical and soft parameter planning.
  • Optimize the capacity of the network to meet traffic increase.
  • Responsible for investigation, evaluation, planning review and approval, which include planning tools, mapping, and computer machine.
  • Provides project oversight.
Competencies
  • Experience in RND and preferably Optimization.
  • Be able to work on the frequency planning tool (optimi) for general frequency plan.
  • Being able to Perform RF planning (using Atoll), traffic planning, and traffic growth forecasting.
  • Must have the proven ability of design UMTS/LTE networks at a single NodeB, cluster and multi-cluster levels for multiple carriers to meet specific KPI targets.
  • Must have experience in UMTS/LTE networks and KPI base system optimization.
  • Must have strong knowledge on RF Optimization tools.
  • Good knowledge of RF design method and procedure.
  • The ability to Work with Planning Tools (Atoll).
  • Must have experience and an excellent knowledge in UMTS/LTE network and all the Radio Design Parameters and features.
  • Must have good understanding of RF design method and procedure.
