Contract type: International (expatriate) assignment – fixed-term, 28/28 Rotational contract. You will be required to relocate for this position.
Language requirements: Intermediate proficiency in English; knowledge of the local language is preferred.
At Eni, we are looking for a Rotating Machinery Supervisor within the Zubair Field Operating Division in Basra, Iraq. As a key member of the Production team, you will oversee all activities related to rotating equipment, ensuring maximum availability and adherence to maintenance and production plans. Your role will also involve ensuring compliance with internal procedures, best practices, and all safety regulations.
Your employment contract will be managed by Eni International Resources Ltd (EIRL).
Main responsibilities:
- Overseeing the start-up and shutdown of rotating equipment, including all preparatory activities.
- Supporting the maintenance team in detailed scheduling of rotating equipment maintenance, considering plans, workload, manpower availability, company procedures, and priorities set by the Maintenance Operation Superintendent.
- Ensuring the application of relevant HSEQ (Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality) procedures during maintenance work.
- Issuing work requests for specialized tasks to be executed in the internal workshop, if applicable.
- Checking and supervising maintenance work carried out by contractors and approving it upon completion.
- Drafting proposals for operational and maintenance improvements.
- Ensuring the effective, efficient, and safe execution of rotating equipment maintenance activities.
Skills and experience required:
- Experience in the oil and gas industry.
- Relevant qualifications; membership in national or international committees is preferred.
- Completion of maintenance professional courses.
- Secondary level technical education.
- Offshore survival course (mandatory for offshore work).
- Experience in rotating equipment, operational and maintenance.
- Knowledge of maintenance management, predictive maintenance, and operational advising.
- Proficiency in mechanical maintenance and troubleshooting techniques.
- Experience with CMMS activities, maintenance engineering, system auditing, and reliability/availability analysis.
- Familiarity with technical specifications, bidding processes, and internal standards.
- Understanding of organizational processes, documentation management, site management, and contracting strategies.
- Knowledge of technical requirements, standards, and information integrity systems.
- Intermediate proficiency in English; knowledge of the local language is preferred.
