Your Responsibilities in this role
- Responsible for a designated geographic market area for the bakala/HoReCa/Small Enterprise channels to ensure sales & distribution objectives for brands on the marketplace are delivered as per targets
Distribution: - Adhere to permanent journey plans to service customers as per the determined frequency of
coverage to achieve targeted numeric & weighted distribution for brands on the platform
o Identify and close gaps in the distribution network through productivity improvement and
route optimization - Ensure bakala/HoReCa/Small Enterprise target achievement at the category, brand, and SKU
level - Undertake POS merchandising execution for brands on the platform to support tertiary sales
from priority retailers - Ensure range selling KPIs are met for all brands on the marketplace for the designated area
- Ensure order fulfillment & follow-up is done for all customers as per the delivery promise
- Identify new customers for sales expansion and implement launch plans
- Promotions:
- Increase sales by ensuring BTL campaigns & schemes are communicated to customers as per
monthly sales objectives - Gather market information on the competition and work with merchandising team and brand
partners to provide inputs for marketing & promotion design - Identify target outlets for BTL schemes and ensure scheme uptake targets are delivered
- Support brands on new product launch to ensure placement & sampling targets are achieved
- Gather insights on promotion effectiveness and communicate to central merchandising teams
Control: - Ensure brand pricing, promotion & visual merchandising norms are implemented in the market Trade Relationships:
- Develop and maintain relationships with customers to ensure Amal is positioned as a trusted
supplier with high reliability - Work jointly with key accounts to improve sales volumes and range selling
- Interface with local customer associations to be the voice of Amal in the local market
Customer Enablement & Growth: - Educate & train customers in the use of the app and its features to increase self-service orders
on the app - Spend time with customers regularly to understand pain points and evolve solutions that can
be given by Amal offline & online - Share customer insights with other sales team members to enable Amal NPS is consistently
improving
Brand Partnerships: - Partner with merchandising to identify new brands and grow existing brands by providing
market intelligence on new brands & products that can be launched - Work with focus brands to drive market share expansion campaigns
- Ensure individual brand sales metrics on the platform are met
An Ideal Candidate Profile for this Role: - 5-6 years of prior sales experience in Iraq, including Baghdad, for a global/regional FMCG/Electronics company or large brand distributor
- Should have directly managed a geographic area for sales for the Bakala channel with responsibility for area sales targets and market expansion
- Execution experience in on-ground implementation of trade schemes, reporting, and reconciliation
- Exposure to modern trade and Key Account Management for institutional customers is desirable
- Experience in launching a new brand in Iraq, and entering new geographic markets in FMCG/Electronics experience will be an added advantage
- Educational Qualifications
- Post Graduate Degree in Marketing
Experience - 5-6 years of FMCG/Electronics Sales experience

- Increase enrolment of credit for customers in line with allocated targets to ensure customer
working capital availability for sales per customer - Ensure reporting for the design areas are using MIS through daily, weakly and monthly reports
