Sales Engineer

Job Overview

1- Education:

BSC Engineering in E&I, Mechanical or similar technical discipline

2- Experience:

5 Years Experience in Energy sector

3- Competence:

 

The Sales Engineer is responsible for marketing and selling the company’s goods and services to new and existing customers. He/ she is also responsible for identifying new markets and business opportunities. His/ her role helps to ensure the company commercially successful sales objectives are reached.

 

Ideal candidate must be sales driven and self-motivated with a proven track record in provision of sales of Services such as Maintenance, Project Management Consultancy, Automation, and Supply in the Energy, Oil, and Gas and Utility sectors.

 

Comfortable in the dynamic atmosphere of a technical organization with a rapidly expanding customer base. Must possess strong presentation skills and be able to communicate professionally in written responses to emails, RFPs, and when submitting reports. Organized, dynamic and analytical, able to eliminate sales obstacles through creative and adaptive approaches. Must be prepared for extensive travel

 

Fluency in Arabic and English a must

4-  RESPONSIBILITIES DESCRIPTION

 

  • Register the company as a vendor service provider for clients working in Federal Iraq related to Energy, Oil, Gas, and Industrial.
  • Develop a market plan to meet annual sales targets
  • Receiving customer requirements and presenting appropriately to make a sale
  • Maintaining and developing relationships with existing customers in person, and via telephone calls and email
  • Arranging meetings with potential customers to prospect for new business (provided with presentations)
  • Negotiating on price, delivery and specifications with buyers and managers
  • Challenging any objections with a view to getting the customer to place orders
  • Advising on forthcoming product developments and discussing special promotions
  • Liaising with suppliers to check the progress of existing orders
  • Follow up with customer to guarantee payment of invoices on time
  • Candidate should give technical training on product different features and explain to customer benefits of up
  • Candidate should engage in weekly visits to new and existing clients’ sites and collect information, and follow up
  • Liasing with company colleagues to create the best sales programs and presentations to clients
  • Acting as a contact between a company and its existing and potential markets
  • Negotiating the terms of an agreement and closing sales on behalf of the company’s partners
  • Gathering market and customer intelligence
  • Representing the organization at trade exhibitions, events and product/ service demonstrations
  • Following up with the Pre-sales Dept. safe receipt and delivery of inquiries, tenders, bid bonds…etc
