Senior Accountant

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team. As a Senior Accountant, you will play a crucial role in managing our financial records, ensuring accuracy, and providing valuable insights to support strategic decision-making. You will be responsible for various accounting functions, including financial reporting, budgeting, tax compliance, and audit preparations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Maintain the accounting records of the company.
• Oversee and manage the day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
• Record FastPay merchant, agent, reseller and distributor entries.
• Prepare summary entries of AR and AP FastPay transactions.
• Record all FastPay non-cash entries (on accrual basis).
• Follow up on supplier and customer accounts, and issue bills and invoices.
• Issue bank payments.
• Control cash and inventory balances, and validate daily cash count.
• Prepare bank reconciliation.
• Prepare inter-company account reconciliation.
• Follow up on prepayments and salary advances.
• Follow up on AP due dates.
• Maintain record for all the cash Record within Showrooms, Market and warehouse.
• Update the prepaid entries.
• Reconcile the AP statement of monthly basis with vendors.
• Deposit cash in bank.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Proven work experience as a Senior Accountant or similar role, with a minimum of [3] years of experience.
• Strong proficiency in accounting software and financial management systems (QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, g.).
• Advanced proficiency in MS Excel for data analysis, financial modelling, and reporting purposes.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Speaks Kurdish, Arabic and English fluently.
