Position: Senior Accountant – construction sector

Number of positions: 1

Reporting To: Chief Accountant

Duty Station: Iraq – Baghdad

Duties and responsibilities:

1- Manage all accounting transactions.

2- Record all accounting transactions.

3- Publish financial reports in time.

4- Handle monthly, quarterly, and annual closings.

5- Reconcile accounts payable and receivable.

6- Control logistic and inventory wise

7- Ensure timely bank reconciliation

8- Account and deal with tax authorities and governmental bodies.

9- Reinforce financial data confidentiality and conduct database backups when necessary.

10- Manage balance sheets and profit/loss statements.

11- Audit financial transactions and documents.

12- Comply with financial policies and regulations.

13- performing any other related duties as assigned by the manager line. 

Required qualifications and skills:

– Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is a must. professional certifications in CPA and ACCA is a plus.

– At least 3 years of experience as an Accountant is a must.

– ⁠Arabic and English languages are required, and Turkish language is a plus.

– Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations & procedures.

– Good knowledge and experience with accounting software, ability to use ERP systems such as SAP is a plus.

– Advanced MS Excel skills including VLOOKUPs and pivot tables.

– Experience with general ledger functions.

– Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills.

– Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills.

Working Condition & Benefits:

– Working days & hours: 5 Days/Week,  9 Hours/Day, with flexibility.

– ⁠Salary: IQD 2,000,000 based on experience level.

– ⁠Lunch: Available.
