Senior EFT Manager

Job Overview

Position Purpose Summary:

The Sr EFT Manager oversees the EFT section, ensuring optimal maintenance and proactive monitoring of EFT services for high availability. They lead the team in delivering and implementing projects, adhering to industry best standards. Additionally, the role involves team management, project management, and fostering skill enhancement among team members.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Lead and organize the objectives and tasks within the EFT team as a Team Leader.
  • Ensure comprehensive training for all team members, with a focus on onboarding new recruits and ongoing skill development.
  • Oversee and implement the following tasks within the team:
    • Monitor and maintain system/EFT applications, encompassing configuration, performance optimization, patching, automation, hardening, and upgrades.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve incidents related to EFT, ITM Switch, CMS, ICCS, i-series, etc., assigned by the servicedesk or detected through monitoring processes.
    • Ensure execution of daily, weekly, and monthly proactive administration tasks to maintain operational and highly performing applications and services.
    • Address and resolve problems related to EFT services.
    • Maintain updated, accurate, and reliable backups of applications and databases in compliance with YBS’s Backup policies.
    • Test and apply Mastercard/Visa/other mandates.
    • Collaborate with third-party vendors, IT providers, etc., for specific requirements, escalation, and follow-up on incidents and application-related issues.
    • Contribute actively to EFT and IT-related projects as assigned, such as Payment gateway, Fraud prevention systems, Bill payment, etc.
    • Ensure accuracy and currency of all EFT procedures and documentation.
    • Manage the training and resource allocation within the department, adhering to YBS, IT, and IS policies and procedures.
  • Ensure high availability, reliability, and security of overall systems and mission-critical EFT services, aligning with IT security policies defined by IS and best practices.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements within the EFT team, implementing strategies to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and overall service delivery.
  • Efficiently allocate resources within the department, ensuring optimal utilization of skills and expertise to meet project deadlines and service level agreements.

Job Requirements and Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering
  • 7-10 years of experience in EFT (Euronet Mandatory)
  • Troubleshooting skills
  • The ability to think logically
  • Good memory of how software and operating systems work
  • Excellent listening and questioning skills, combined with the ability to interact confidently with clients
  • Good teamworking skills
  • Problem solving skills
  • The ability to prioritize workload
  • Strong communication skills, logic and analytical skills.
  • Good skills in English & Arabic (Reading, Writing, Skills)
