Job title: Senior Mobile Developer

Purpose of the Position:
As a Senior Mobile Developer, you will create novel apps that meet the needs of our target audience. The responsibilities include writing and proofreading code, liaising with coworkers within and outside their department, and monitoring customers’ feedback. The primary focus will be the monitoring and development of Android and IOS applications and their integration with back-end services.

To ensure success as a mobile developer, you should demonstrate proficiency in mainstream programming languages and frameworks of IOS and android and a solid understanding of the traditional product life cycle.

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Proofreading native android and IOS application codes
  • Mentoring other IOS and android developers
  • Conceptualizing and formulating apps that are suitable for use on all types of Android and IOS devices.
  • Implementing measures to safeguard users’ data.
  • Work with outside data sources and APIs
  • Ensuring that the construction and presentation of your apps are congruent with the company’s standards.
  • Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability
  • Proofreading your code and correcting mistakes before each app is released.
  • Collaborating with UI and UX Designers and Software Testers to ensure that each app is presentable and in perfect working order.
  • Liaising with the business development and marketing department to ensure consistency in our company’s ‘voice’ across the board.
  • Monitoring app reviews to detect areas for improvement.
  • Creating app updates for release, including bug fixes and additional features.

Skills & Requirements:

  • Degree in Software Development, Computer Science, or similar.
  • Proficiency in Java, Kotlin, Objective-C, Swift, and Cocoa Touch.
  • Ability to use Android Studio, including the Android SDK, with ease.
  • Strong knowledge of Android SDK, different versions of Android, and how to deal with different screen sizes
  • Extensive experience with iOS Frameworks such as Core Data and Core Animation.
  • Knowledge of iOS back-end services.
  • Familiarity with REST/RESTful APIs to connect Android and IOS applications to back-end services
  • Strong knowledge of Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices
  • Understanding of Google’s Android design principles and interface guidelines
  • Knowledge of Apple’s design principles and application interface guidelines.
  • Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git and SVN
  • Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements
  • Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications
  • Staying up to date with new mobile technology trends, applications, and protocols
  • Excellent coding and proofreading skills.
  • Top-notch teamwork and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage your workload with minimal supervision.
