Senior Procurement Specialist

Job Overview

       Responsibilities

  • Develop, lead, and implement procurement strategy.
  •  Overseeing and handling all activities of the procurement section.
  •  Preparing plans for the purchase of equipment, services, and supplies.
  •  Assist in development and implementation of company’s procurement policies and procedures for
  • delivering high quality and cost-effective procuring process.
  •  Assess, and foresee risks associated with procurements.
  • Seek out and build partnerships with reliable vendors and suppliers
  • Researching and evaluating prospective suppliers.
  •  Develop and maintain Supplier database.
  • Reviewing and evaluating products and services to be purchased.
  • Keeping accurate purchase and pricing records.
  • Negotiate contracts with suppliers to obtain best price and services
  • Provide weekly reporting for procurement manager on purchasing, controls, and processes.
  •  Ensure principles of value for money, transparency, fairness, efficiency, and accountability are
  • evident in company procurements.
  •  Help in internal control and auditing.
  • Ability to travel to various locations inside and outside Iraq based on need of the company.

        Requirements:

  • At least 3-4 years of work experience in a similar role in procurement.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Power Point, Outlook, etc.)
  • Fluency in English, Kurdish, and Arabic.
  • Iraqi nationality
  • Having procurement trainings is preferred “CIPS or similar trainings”
