Responsibilities
- Develop, lead, and implement procurement strategy.
- Overseeing and handling all activities of the procurement section.
- Preparing plans for the purchase of equipment, services, and supplies.
- Assist in development and implementation of company’s procurement policies and procedures for
- delivering high quality and cost-effective procuring process.
- Assess, and foresee risks associated with procurements.
- Seek out and build partnerships with reliable vendors and suppliers
- Researching and evaluating prospective suppliers.
- Develop and maintain Supplier database.
- Reviewing and evaluating products and services to be purchased.
- Keeping accurate purchase and pricing records.
- Negotiate contracts with suppliers to obtain best price and services
- Provide weekly reporting for procurement manager on purchasing, controls, and processes.
- Ensure principles of value for money, transparency, fairness, efficiency, and accountability are
- evident in company procurements.
- Help in internal control and auditing.
- Ability to travel to various locations inside and outside Iraq based on need of the company.
Requirements:
- At least 3-4 years of work experience in a similar role in procurement.
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Power Point, Outlook, etc.)
- Fluency in English, Kurdish, and Arabic.
- Iraqi nationality
- Having procurement trainings is preferred “CIPS or similar trainings”
