Location:                            Vara Company / Baghdad City

 

Key responsibilities & duties

  • Developing and implementing maintenance strategies, plans, and schedules to ensure effective and efficient machinery operations.
  • Developing and implementing maintenance and repair programs to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
  • Coordinating with production and operations teams to schedule maintenance and repair activities that minimize disruption to workflow.
  • Leading a team of maintenance technicians and mechanics, including hiring, training, and providing performance feedback.
  • Coordinating and prioritizing maintenance activities to minimize disruptions to production schedules.
  • Inspecting machinery regularly to identify potential defects, malfunctions, or breakdowns.
  • Diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and electronic faults and taking appropriate corrective actions.
  • Documenting maintenance operations by completing reports, logs, and records related to repairs, inspections, and preventive maintenance tasks.
  • Coordinating with suppliers and vendors to procure spare parts, tools, and equipment needed for repairs and maintenance activities.
  • Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and procedures while performing maintenance tasks.
  • Monitoring and controlling maintenance and repair budgets to ensure cost-effectiveness.
  • Ordering and maintaining an inventory of spare parts and supplies for machinery repairs.
  • Developing and maintaining records of machinery maintenance and repair activities, including work orders, inspection reports, and service records.
  • Training and mentoring maintenance technicians to improve their skills and knowledge of different machinery.

Work experience & skills

  • BSc degree in Mechanical engineering.
  • Proven work experience and a strong understanding of the functional and mechanical aspects of the machinery.
  • An ability to understand of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
  • Solid customer service attitude with excellent negotiation skills
  • Strong communication and team management skills with clients, and suppliers.
  • Analytical skills with a problem-solving attitude
  • Availability to travel as needed.
