Terms of Reference (TOR) for shelter assessment daily workers

Background

Première Urgence Internationale (PUI) is planning a rehabilitation project aimed at improving shelter conditions in the Al-Yousifiya Informal Settlement, Baghdad. The project will support the rehabilitation of shelters for pre-identified households, selected based on vulnerability and technical criteria assessments. PUI seeks four daily workers to conduct the selection surveys on site.

Scope of Work

Each daily worker will be responsible for the following tasks:

 

    • Complete 20 assessments surveys with pre-identified community members through the KOBO questionnaire developed by PUI.
    • Upload the forms to KOBO platform.
    • Transportation will not be provided by PUI. Each daily worker must manage the transportation on their own.
    • Each daily worker must attend a brief training about the forms, and the use of KOBO platform in PUI Baghdad office before going on-site.

 

Deliverables

Each daily worker is expected to deliver the following:

    • 20 assessment forms submitted through the KOBO form.

Timeline and Wage

Each daily worker is required to complete all tasks and deliverables within calendar days from the start date, and the daily wage is 45$.

Qualifications

The daily worker should possess the following qualifications:

  • A degree in Civil Engineering or a related field is appreciated.
  • Previous experience in shelter assessment and household surveys.
  • Strong understanding of terminology related to shelter.
  • Knowledge of KOBO platform is mandatory.
  • Persons from Al-Yousifiya or with connections to the community there must state so in their application.
