Role: Site Survey Coordinator

Location: Iraq (South East region in a camp base)

Status: Rotational 4*4 or 2*2 to be defined

Rate: Competitive

Duration: 9 months

Start date: February 2022

MISSIONS / SERVICE DIMENSIONS

The Site Survey Coordinator shall coordinate all surveys to be carried out in Iraq for the Project.

• Key interface between the Project group and the FEED contractor subcontracting the survey contractors

• Key interface between Project group and the local gas company

ACTIVITIES

• integrate all local permitting activities (ESIA, Societal, Land acquisition, …) and associated planning related to Iraqi development project and assist the Project management in any decision relating to planning issues.

• provide assistance for the coordination of the survey logistics (site access permit, personnel and equipment

transportation, etc…),

• provide technical support to operations as the contact point with worksite and Project entity

• realize a follow up and update the site survey planning execution to feed the general planning of the Project,

• issue weekly/monthly progress reports in order to control operations progress, and costs when required.

In particular:

• To ensure with Project entity that approvals of partners and governmental authorities have been

obtained in all matters related to the surveys execution,

• To ensure with Project entity that required permitting are in place prior to site survey contractor mobilization,

• To ensure with Project entity that site preparation and community awareness’s have been performed prior to site access,

• To provide technical support and coordination in relation with Project entity, if requested, for the premobilization phase including the kick-off meeting,

• To ensure with HSE Project entity that Emergency Response Plan, Risk Assessment are in place prior to survey contractor’s mobilization and are followed during the surveys.

• To ensure with security entity that Security mitigation measures are in place prior to survey contractor’s mobilization and are followed during the surveys,

• To investigate on potential optimization of site surveys logistics and interfaces when relevant (mutualization of means, resources…),

• To ensure that the planned activities are in compliance with regulations & procedures and contracts requirements,

• To assist in the monitoring and control of the site survey contractor’s HSE, Societal and local content performances,

• To execute the first site QC on the results of contractors in his domain of competence (i.e. geotechnics if geotechnician),

• To timely report to Project Director, highlighting progress, opportunities and encountered areas of concern,

• To gather “Lessons Learnt” related to scheduling, progress control, reporting matters and provide feedback to the team, partners & organization as required,

• To adopt and demonstrate exemplary behaviour with regard H3SE and H3SE rules implementation,

• To adopt and demonstrate exemplary behaviour with regard to Ethics and project “code of conduct” policy,

• To participate to meetings with partners, authorities and other stakeholders as required,

• To carry out any other duties or tasks that may be required by the position.

Multicultural environment: FEED Contractor is anticipated to be in London. Iraqi rules and regulations, administrative requirements and technical authorizations as well as International codes for onshore plant will apply.

The context is complex with numerous stakeholders, environmental and societal / local content stakes.

In the current context of low oil price, the project needs to be developed on a fast-track mode with low CAPEX & OPEX to support the development economics and enable FID while maintaining the technical quality of the installations, with high

H3SE requirements and focus.

In order to proceed with the development studies, the client has launched / has subcontracted CFTs to perform

the following site surveys:

• Geodetic and Topographical survey,

• Onshore and offshore Metocean monitoring survey,

• Onshore Geophysical survey,

• Nearshore, offshore and River Bathymetry and Geophysical surveys.

• Nearshore and onshore Geotechnical surveys.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• Degree: Engineer (or equivalent formal qualification) in a recognized Engineering discipline

• Minimum 5-10 years of experience in Oil &Gas Industry with similar large-scale projects & environment including:

• Management of technical surveys and operations in Oil and Gas Industry, knowledge in geotechnical survey is

appreciated.

• Management of contracts: Planning, Cost estimates and Cost control and Coordination with internal staff and contractors,

• HSE Performance Management,

• Technical support for environmental permitting

• Ability to work in a multi-cultural business environment.

• Good interpersonal and communication skills.

• English as mother tongue or Fluent in English (speaking and writing).

OTHER OBSERVATIONS

South West of Iraq is a hot weather location in summer period and security is requiring special attention.

Accommodation is anticipated to be in a secured camp.
