Officer)

Reports to: Physiotherapist 3
Duration of Contract: One-year fixed term contract (with the possibility of renewal to an open-ended contract where performance and competencies are key to be selected for further contractual continuity)

Objective:
To ensure the work of the Physical Rehabilitation Program (PRP) department is managed efficiently and effectively in line with the established guidelines. He/she will support the Physical Rehabilitation Program in Mosul and contributes by implementing and monitoring specific Physical Rehabilitation projects and programs. Maintains contact with authorities, partners, and ICRC colleagues who refer People with Disabilities to the Physical Rehabilitation Center and coordinates Physical Rehabilitation Program social inclusion activities at sub-delegation level.
Main duties and responsibilities:
• Assists the Mosul Physical Rehabilitation Program team in the daily management of physical rehabilitation center activities and during field trips.
• Assists the Physiotherapist delegate in meetings with the authorities.
• Channels all relevant information related to Physical Rehabilitation Program activities.
• Registers and treats information (general and specific) confidentially and with accuracy.
• Represents the ICRC regarding during Physical Rehabilitation Program activities.
• Spokesperson for ICRC Physical Rehabilitation Program in absence of the Physiotherapist.
• Maintains regular contact with Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) and associations concerning the referral of People with Disabilities.
• Contributes to compiling the weekly and monthly statistical reports as well as weekly, monthly, and
quarterly activity reports and relevant minutes of meetings.
Management, Administration, and Finance tasks:
• Ensures reliable management of finance/payments related to main areas of responsibility in the absence of the Physical Rehabilitation Program administration assistant.
• Contributes and ensures the accuracy of the Social Inclusion database, in cooperation with the Economic Security department and Social Inclusion responsible in Baghdad.
• Supports the organization of dissemination sessions regarding Physical Rehabilitation Services for
authorities, communities, rehabilitation/healthcare professionals, and other departments of Mosul Sub Delegation.
• Maintains regular contact with Iraqi Red Crescent Society (IRCS) concerning their wheelchair project for People with Disabilities.
Social Inclusion:
• Conducts beneficiary needs assessment and stakeholder mapping and proposes appropriate strategies to improve both accessibility and quality of services.
• In partnership with Physical Rehabilitation Program Manager and Social Inclusion responsible in Baghdad, develops and implements strategies for empowerment and inclusion for People with Disabilities (PwDs).
• Contributes and ensures the accuracy of the Social Inclusion database, in cooperation with the Economic Security department and Social Inclusion responsible in Baghdad.
• Liaises with Economic Security Delegate on the Social Inclusion activities (Micro Economic Initiatives).
• Plans events to mark the International Day of People with Disabilities (PwDs).
• Participates in joint field trips with Economic Security department regarding People with Disabilities referred for Vocational Training (VT) and Micro Economic Initiatives (MEI) activities.
Education and Professional Experience required:
• University degree in one of the following areas: business & administration, project management, or logistics.
• Good command of written and spoken English and Arabic.
• Excellent computer literacy, good knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
• 3- 5 years of experience in a similar field/position.
• Experience in similar positions in humanitarian organisations is an asset.
