Solution Sales Manager

Job Overview


  • Identify and qualify opportunities to increase sales volume while ensuring service levels are met
  • Prospect and build a sales pipeline by outbound calling, email communications, and other direct marketing methods.
  • Manage sales through forecasting, qualification, account strategy, and planning.
  • Develop competitive sales plans & strategies for Earthlink software and professional services.
  • Develop solution proposals encompassing all aspects of the deal.
  • Proactively scopes the technical solution required to address
  • customer requirements, assesses customers’ met and unmet
  • needs, and recommends solutions that optimize value for
  • both the customer and the firm.
  • Participate in the development, presentation and sales of a value proposition.
  • Negotiate pricing and contractual agreements to close the sale.
  • Identify and develop strategic alignment with key influencers.
  • Work with key partners to identify and qualify opportunities.
  • Develop, execute and deliver quality solution-focused executive overview presentations
  • Present and articulate advanced product features, benefits, and overall product solutions Link the solution value to the pains & gains of the C level buyers
  • Develop and manage reference sites through high quality, technical and professional, client relationships
  • Create and execute a strategic sales plan that expands customer base and extends global reach
  • Meet with potential clients and grow long-lasting relationships by understanding their needs
  • Track, analyze, and communicate key quantitative metrics and business trends as they relate to partner relationships


  • 3+ years of experience in a similar role selling enterprise solutions to clients.
  • Strong value-based and consultative solution selling sales methodology
  • Proactive and practical, adept at assessing customer requirements, and selecting appropriate methods to fulfil them. Skilled at determining priorities, establishing a systematic course of action to ensure successful completion, and allocating time and resources effectively.
  • Strong customer interface and presentation skills are essential in this role, together with a mind-set of customer service. A skillful negotiator, you will be confident acting as trusted advisor when dealing with customers’ business needs.
  • Previous experience and knowledge of ERP Software is preferred
  • Previous experience in marketing or selling to dealers and rental companies of heavy equipment, or related industries, would be a distinct advantage.
  • Self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit and ability to work independently in a start-up
  • Drive for results, passion for customers, strategic thinking and thought leadership combined with flexibility, agility, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment is critical to success.
  • Excellent Account Planning skills.
  • Bidding knowledge and experience is essential, as is experience in selling IT projects and solutions.
