Sound/Technical Manager is an expert in sound engineering field with a deep understanding/experience in lighting and LED too, and a positive, skilled and strong leader of the technical team for a very high volume of events, ensuring all aspects of event production success. staff in the activities associated with the identification, prioritization, and resolution of operational problems or hardware installations. Requires strong understanding of technical aspects of desktop, voice and/or data communications, Sound, Lighting, Screen, installation, and management.

  • Technical Manager is the expert in technical side of the event organizing, highly skilled and knowledgeable in physical and virtual event platforms and execution, lighting and audio for stage, audio application, technical event logistics, set concept and stage management/design, budget/timeline creation, show flow, equipment, space/setup logistics, vendor hiring, permitting, rigging, management and any other relevant
  • Manage all available technical resources (internal and external) to ensure timely and cost-effective achievement of event priorities.
  • Maintain, drive, supervise and implement robust technical standards, systems and processes
  • leading a team member to meet the department objective, or consulting with and working alongside Special Events Managers, clients and stakeholders and charged with creating the technical vision of the event, as well as develop and design all the technical aspects of the show.
  • Review and assess incoming request inquiries from clients, identifying best way forward with planning, staffing and associated costs.
  • Creative thinker, solution driven, stays current with industry technology and trends.
  • Leads the Technical Services support team for assigned events. Responsible for coordinating and scheduling all audio-visual services for assigned events.
  • Establishes procedures, standards and practices for the operation and maintenance of Event Management’s complex technical inventory of audio/visual equipment, sound equipment, and light equipment to ensure a customer focused service delivery
  • Creates and implements standardized procedures to ensure that assets are protected, expenses are controlled, and the technical support functions operate efficiently, effectively, and with proper internal controls
  • Collaborates with other members of the Event Management team to ensure services meet/exceed customers’ expectations.
  • Manages audio and visual equipment inventory, amortization, and upgrade schedules, systematically checking and maintaining installed equipment to ensure proper operation
  • Follows-up on service challenges and works with the manager to take corrective action.
  • Perform other related duties assigned by the line manager.

  • Extremely self-directed individual who is comfortable with a significant level of prioritization, decision-making and discretion
  • Expert in sound engineering (planning, installing, managing)- IMPORTANT
  • Experience and deep understanding in installing and managing Lighting for different events.
  • Experience and deep understanding installing and managing LED screens.
  • Ability to exercise good judgment, skilled leader, excellent interpersonal and verbal and non-verbal communication skills.
  • Working experience with different models of sound mixer.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science and information technology or another related field is preferred.
  • Able to work with top leadership as well as internal and external teams to achieve the highest degree of show production value at the required budgeted costs.
  • Able to lead a team and work within a collaborative environment.
  • Excellent organizational, time management with attention to details skills
  • Must be able to communicate clearly and concisely with all levels of management and have good executive presence
  • Supervisory experience with a demonstrated ability to program workflow and coordinate schedules is preferred.

  • Willingness to travel – this position may spend up to 20% of time traveling to other cities inside Iraq.
