Supervisory Visa Assistant (NIV)

Job Overview

The incumbent is the local staff supervisor of the Nonimmigrant Visa Unit, supervise a staff of four Nonimmigrant Visa (NIV) Locally Employed (LE) staff unit assistants, and provide work guidance to one Eligible Family Member (EFM). The jobholder supervises all aspects of the unit, including line management, workload planning, correspondence administration, file management, drafting and maintaining standard operating procedures, processing revocations, and printing and shipping visas. The jobholder conducts performance evaluations for the NIV LE staff, maintains an up-to-date personnel file for each staff member, oversees staff development plans, conducts performance discussion summaries, and performance improvement plans when necessary. The jobholder is also responsible for carrying out all the duties performed by the staff s/he oversees.

Experience

Four (4) years’ experience of consular service administration, Visa processing, extensive public contact, or problem solving is required.

Additional One (1) Year of Supervisory Experience is required.

Education Requirements:

Two (2) years college or university studies are required.

LANGUAGE: 

Level (fluent) speaking/reading/writing English is required (this may be tested).

Level (fluent) speaking/reading/writing Arabic is required (this may be tested).

Skills and Abilities:

There might be Additional Technical/Written tests may be required to assess applicant’s skills and experience.
