Transmission Planning Specialist

Summary

• Design and Optimization of the Transmission Systems (Fiber &MWs within the Core, IP ,BB, BH, Rings and Access networks.
• Plan the Transmission Systems according to Radio, Core and IP requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and Planning for the Transmission Networks, (Fiber) and wireless (MW).
• Auditing design documents(Visio topology, DCN and network data)
• Network Transmission capacity management, expantion and optimization.
• Fiber LL Request and Design Approval for LTE and Hub Sites.
• Review fiber designs and prepare as built documents.
• Microwave Network Planning to extend connectivity to all sites.
• Fiber Network Planning for LTE expansion and to extend connectivity to all main and sub- hub sites.
• IP/MPLS Mobile Backhaul design.
• Provide transmission engineer guideline LOS, design and plan on ITU basis.
• Perform IPDCN Design for the MW Network.
• Optimiza fiber connections leased lines.

Competencies

• Knowledge of Microwave and Fibre Network Technologies.
• Knowledge of Ethernet, IP/MPLS, VPN, and BGP.
• Knowledge of Ethernet Standard(VLAN, ERPS, LAG,RSTP) and Ethernet Service Types(E-Line and E-LAN).
• Transmission Planning tools (Mentum ellipse & Pathloss 5).
