Job Summary:

The HSE Manager is responsible for ensuring a safe and environmentally compliant work environment within the construction company. They will lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures to safeguard the well-being of employees, contractors, visitors, and the surrounding community. The HSE Manager will work closely with various departments to create a culture of safety, identify potential hazards, and proactively mitigate risks, ultimately fostering a workplace committed to accident prevention and environmental sustainability.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and update health, safety, and environmental policies in line with local regulations, industry best practices, and corporate standards.
  • Ensure the construction company complies with all relevant health, safety, and environmental laws, regulations, and permits.
  • Identify potential hazards and conduct risk assessments to determine the necessary preventive measures and control procedures.
  • Lead investigations into workplace accidents, injuries, or environmental incidents, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Provide ongoing HSE training to employees and contractors to raise awareness and enhance safety knowledge throughout the organization.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and audits of construction sites, equipment, and facilities, reporting findings and recommending corrective actions.
  • Develop and implement emergency response plans to handle potential accidents, natural disasters, or environmental incidents.
  • Oversee the company’s environmental management program, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and striving for continuous improvement in sustainability practices.
  • Maintain accurate records of safety and environmental incidents, analyzing trends, and preparing reports for management and regulatory agencies.
  • Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of the HSE program, reporting progress to management regularly.
  • Collaborate with contractors to ensure they adhere to HSE standards and requirements while working on construction projects.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor Degree in Health, Safetyand Environmental Engineering or related field, Master Degree or Advanced Certifications in HSE management such as NEBOSH or IOSH are an advantage;
  • Minimum 8-10 Years of Experience in the same position or HSE field, preferably construction industry.
  • Fluency in Arabic and English languages, Turkish language is privilege.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Project Management and Outlook);
  • Strong understanding of local health, safety, and environmental regulations, as well as international standards and best practices.
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate teams, driving a culture of safety and compliance throughout the organization.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to identify risks and implement effective solutions.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to interact with employees, contractors, and regulatory authorities effectively.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic construction environment, handling multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.

Working Condition and Benefit Package:

  • Working Days & Hours: 6 days per week & 8 Hours per day;
  • Salary: $1800-$2000 USD per month, based on candidate experience and knowledge;
  • Annual Leave: 21 Working Days per Year;
  • Public Holiday: 16 Working Days per Year;
  • Communication: Sim-Card, Internet & Monthly Scratch Card for business purpose.
