Job Summary:

The Land Survey Technician will be responsible for accurately measuring and collecting data related to land and construction site features. The work will contribute to the success of various construction projects by providing essential data for planning, design, and execution.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Set up and calibrate surveying instruments, including total stations, theodolites, levels, and GPS equipment.
  • Assist surveyors in accurately measuring distances, angles, elevations, and coordinates using the provided instruments.
  • Record and document precise measurements, observations, and data in field notebooks or digital devices.
  • Identify and locate natural and man-made features on construction sites, such as buildings, roads, utility lines, and terrain characteristics.
  • Collaborate closely with surveyors, engineers, and other team members to ensure accurate data collection and seamless project execution.
  • Transfer collected field data into digital formats for further analysis, processing, and mapping.
  • Utilize specialized software to process survey data and create accurate topographic maps, boundary maps, and related documentation.
  • Maintain accurate records of surveying activities, field notes, and data collected during each project.
  • Communicate effectively with team members to provide updates on field observations, challenges, and progress.
  • Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure personal safety and the safety of the surveying team during fieldwork.
  • Troubleshoot and address minor equipment issues, and report any major equipment malfunctions to the appropriate personnel.
  • Adhere to local, state, and federal regulations related to surveying, construction, and land use.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering or Diploma in Land Surveying or related field,
  • Minimum 5-8 Years of Experience in the same position or land surveying field, preferably construction industry.
  • Fluency in Arabic and English languages, Turkish language is privilege.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Project Management and Outlook); and AutoCad
  • Proficiency in setting up, calibrating, and operating surveying instruments such as total stations, theodolites, levels, and GPS equipment.
  • Familiarity with surveying software and tools for data processing, such as AutoCAD, Trimble Business Center, or similar applications.
  • Solid understanding of surveying principles, including measurements, angles, elevations, and coordinates.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to record and document data precisely.
  • Physical fitness and the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and terrains.
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and convey field observations.
  • Problem-solving skills to identify errors, discrepancies, and equipment issues during fieldwork.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations related to surveying and construction sites.
  • Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and work within tight deadlines.

Working Condition and Benefit Package:

  • Working Days & Hours: 6 days per week & 8 Hours per day;
  • Salary: Negotiable, based on candidate experience and knowledge;
  • Annual Leave: 21 Working Days per Year;
  • Public Holiday: 16 Working Days per Year;
  • Communication: Sim-Card, Internet & Monthly Scratch Card for business purpose.
