Job Summary:

The Cost Controller will be responsible for managing and analyzing the cost structure of the pharmaceutical company. This role involves monitoring and controlling all cost-related activities, ensuring efficient use of resources, and providing accurate financial information to support strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a keen attention to detail, and a deep understanding of the pharmaceutical industry’s financial dynamics.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain cost control procedures to reduce costs and improve profitability.
  • Monitor and analyze cost expenditures and suggest cost-efficient practices.
  • Prepare regular reports on cost performance and variances for management review.
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Compare actual costs to budgeted costs and analyze variances.
  • Conduct detailed cost analysis for various products and projects.
  • Identify trends and variances, providing insights and recommendations for cost-saving opportunities.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with procurement to ensure optimal stock levels.
  • Conduct regular audits of inventory and reconcile discrepancies.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports on cost metrics for senior management.
  • Ensure timely and accurate reporting of financial data to relevant stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures as well as external regulations.
  • Support audits and ensure all financial documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Work closely with various departments including procurement, production, and finance to streamline cost management processes.
  • Provide financial insights and support to project managers and department heads.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field. CPA is preferred.
  • Minimum of 6-8 years of relevant experience in Cost Control or Financial Analyst, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Fluency in Kurdish or Arabic Languages and English language is must.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of financial and accounting principles.
  • Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Knowledge of pharmaceutical industry regulations and standards is an advantage.
  • Experience with ERP systems is highly desirable.
  • Strong ethical standards and a high level of integrity.

 

Working Conditions & Benefit Package:

  • Working Days & Hours: 6 days per week & 8 Hours per day
  • Salary: $2800 – $3200 USD per month
  • Annual Leave: 20 Paid Days
  • Annual Holidays: 16 Paid Days
  • Communication: Sim-Card, Internet & Monthly Scratch Card for business purpose.
