Job Summary:
The Instrument Technician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting instrumentation and control systems in an oil service environment. The role requires a strong understanding of mechatronics, industrial automation, and control systems to ensure the reliable operation of machinery and equipment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Install, calibrate, and maintain industrial instrumentation and control systems.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on sensors, transmitters, and controllers.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot issues in instrument systems, and other automation equipment.
- Repair or replace faulty instruments, wiring, and related hardware.
- Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and P&ID diagrams for instrumentation systems.
- Test, configure, and fine-tune instruments to ensure optimal performance.
- Assist in commissioning new instrumentation and automation projects.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety protocols, and operational guidelines.
- Work closely with engineers and other technicians to resolve technical issues.
- Monitor and analyze system performance to identify areas for improvement.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and calibrations.
- Support the integration of new technologies into existing systems.
- Perform loop checks and functional tests on control circuits.
- Collaborate with operations teams to ensure seamless plant performance.
- Participate in emergency troubleshooting and breakdown recovery activities.
- Maintain inventory of spare parts and recommend procurement as needed.
- Train junior technicians on best practices and operational procedures.
- Assist in optimizing process control strategies for increased efficiency.
- Provide technical reports and documentation for all instrumentation activities.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, Electromechanis Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum three to five years of experience in instrumentation and control systems.
- Fluency in Kurdish and Arabic Language, Good English Communication.
- Proficiency in Ms. Office and industrial automation software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
Working Conditions & Benefit Package:
- Working Days and Hours: 6 days per week, 8 hours per day + one hour lunch break
- Salary: $1000- $1100 USD per month
