Job Summary:

The Instrument Technician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting instrumentation and control systems in an oil service environment. The role requires a strong understanding of mechatronics, industrial automation, and control systems to ensure the reliable operation of machinery and equipment.

 Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Install, calibrate, and maintain industrial instrumentation and control systems.
  • Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on sensors, transmitters, and controllers.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot issues in instrument systems, and other automation equipment.
  • Repair or replace faulty instruments, wiring, and related hardware.
  • Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and P&ID diagrams for instrumentation systems.
  • Test, configure, and fine-tune instruments to ensure optimal performance.
  • Assist in commissioning new instrumentation and automation projects.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety protocols, and operational guidelines.
  • Work closely with engineers and other technicians to resolve technical issues.
  • Monitor and analyze system performance to identify areas for improvement.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and calibrations.
  • Support the integration of new technologies into existing systems.
  • Perform loop checks and functional tests on control circuits.
  • Collaborate with operations teams to ensure seamless plant performance.
  • Participate in emergency troubleshooting and breakdown recovery activities.
  • Maintain inventory of spare parts and recommend procurement as needed.
  • Train junior technicians on best practices and operational procedures.
  • Assist in optimizing process control strategies for increased efficiency.
  • Provide technical reports and documentation for all instrumentation activities.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, Electromechanis Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum three to five years of experience in instrumentation and control systems.
  • Fluency in Kurdish and Arabic Language, Good English Communication.
  • Proficiency in Ms. Office and industrial automation software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.

Working Conditions & Benefit Package:

  • Working Days and Hours: 6 days per week, 8 hours per day + one hour lunch break
  • Salary: $1000- $1100 USD per month
