Job Summary:

The MEC Projects Engineer will oversee and manage mechanical, electrical, and control (MEC) systems within various industrial projects. This role involves ensuring seamless system integration, supervising technical teams, and coordinating with multiple departments to achieve project efficiency and timely execution. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, problem-solving abilities, and project management skills to ensure the successful implementation of MEC systems in fertilizer, HDPE production, agriculture, and other industrial projects.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Supervise the design, installation, and integration of MEC systems in industrial projects.
• Ensure all project activities comply with safety regulations, industry standards, and best practices.
• Coordinate with different departments to align project objectives, budgets, timelines, and schedules.
• Collaborate with contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders to facilitate smooth project execution.
• Provide regular progress reports and technical assessments to management.
• Monitor system performance, conduct inspections and risk assessments, and implement corrective actions.
• Identify and resolve technical challenges related to MEC system integration.
• Ensure all MEC systems meet environmental, safety, and operational compliance requirements.
• Conduct quality assurance checks and enforce best practices in system maintenance.
• Oversee technical teams in workshops and field operations, ensuring quality and efficiency.
• Optimize project workflows to improve efficiency and reduce operational risks.
• Assist in procurement activities, ensuring the selection of high-quality components and equipment.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance plans for MEC systems.
• Conduct technical training for team members to enhance their competencies.
• Support root cause analysis and troubleshooting of MEC system failures.
• Improve energy efficiency and sustainability in MEC system designs.
• Review and approve technical documentation, drawings, and project specifications.
• Ensure compliance with industrial safety regulations and control technologies.
• Perform any other tasks assigned by the Head of Engineering.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics or a related field.
• Minimum five years of experience in mechanical, electrical, and control system integration, preferably in the oil & gas or agriculture sectors.
• Fluency in Kurdish, Arabic and English Languages,
• Proficiency in Ms. Office and ERP System (Odoo or Similar)
• Strong technical problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with multiple stakeholders.
• Strong knowledge of control technologies and industrial safety standards.

Working Conditions & Benefit Package:

• Working Days and Hours: 6 days per week, 8 hours per day + one hour lunch break
• Salary: $1000- $1300 USD per month
• Annual Leave: Available
