Job Overview


World University Service of Canada (WUSC) and Canadian Leaders in International Consulting (CLIC) have been jointly awarded a grant from Global Affairs Canada to implement the project “Bolstering Reconstruction in Iraq Through Development, Growth and Employment” (BRIDGE). 

The Project’s goal is to improve the employment status of male and female youth and women in selected sectors and governorates of Iraq. The two key outcome results of the Project are: Improved delivery of gender responsive and market relevant Vocational Training; and Improved employability of targeted female and male youth and women. 


BRIDGE will address the need for short-term stabilization of Iraq by helping beneficiaries integrate the labour market. It will also support the ongoing reform of the Vocational Education and Training Sector.


Nature and Scope

The Vocational Training Delivery Coordinator will coordinate the delivery of vocational training by partners in the classrooms of our vocational training center partners. 


Key Areas of Responsibility 


  • Act as BRIDGE’s focal point for the partner-led VTC Committees providing oversight for the delivery of vocational training in the classrooms. This will include:


  1. regular visits to the VTCs, to engage with course instructors, VTC leadership and the VTC Committee, and bringing all issues arising to the attention of other BRIDGE staff as appropriate;
  2. coaching support for the VTC Committee and the VTC instructors, together with BRIDGE’s International TVET Advisor, on delivery of competency based training (CBT). 


  • Support the BRIDGE Partnerships team in their work with Employers in linking the VTCs to employers.
  • Coordinate BRIDGE’s support for the Entrepreneurship module development and training.
  • Coordinate BRIDGE’s support for introducing a toolkit to graduates including its contents and distribution.
  • Coordinate BRIDGE’s support for new curriculum development and TOT for any new courses developed as well as TOT for the initial groups of students.
  • Lead BRIDGE’s engagement in the reassessment/review of the first cohort of students and draw lessons learned and apply to the second cohort.
  • Organize and facilitate student graduation events in coordination with project partners.
  • Coordinate with other members of the BRIDGE team, such as vocational guidance and counselling officer, gender equality manager, communications officer, and M&E officer, on relevant issues affecting in class delivery of the courses at the VTCs.
  • Track and monitor indicators and results related to the cohorts (students, instructors, etc.), in coordination with the M&E Manager.
  • Support project efforts to track progress on tracer studies to monitor cohorts after graduation.


  • A  university degree 
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in coordinating activities with multiple stakeholders 
  • Strong organizational and coordination skills as well as attention to details
  • Excellent knowledge of Anbar institutions and employers
  • Good communication and computer skills
  • Oral and written English skills
  • Willing to travel to other Southern Governorates
