The Automotive Warranty Coordinator plays a vital role in ensuring that all warranty-related processes within an automotive dealership or manufacturer are executed efficiently and effectively. They are responsible for managing warranty claims, coordinating communication between various departments, and ensuring compliance with warranty policies and guidelines. Responsibilities:

Warranty Claim Management:

Receive, review, and process warranty claims submitted by customers, technicians, or service advisors.
Verify the accuracy and completeness of claim documentation, including repair orders, parts invoices, and customer information.
Ensure that warranty claims adhere to the manufacturer’s guidelines and policies.
Communication and Coordination:

Collaborate with service advisors, technicians, parts departments, and other relevant stakeholders to gather necessary information for warranty claims.
Maintain effective communication channels to provide updates on claim status and resolve any issues related to warranty processes.
Documentation and Reporting:

Maintain accurate records of warranty claims, approvals, rejections, and supporting documentation.
Generate and submit required warranty reports to manufacturers or relevant governing bodies.
Keep track of warranty trends, recurring issues, and areas for improvement.
Warranty Policy Compliance:

Stay up-to-date with manufacturer’s warranty policies, guidelines, and updates.
Ensure that warranty claims adhere to specific requirements, including timeframes, eligible repairs, and parts usage.
Customer Service:

Address customer inquiries and concerns related to warranty coverage and claim status.
Provide clear and concise explanations of warranty terms and processes to customers.
Process Improvement:

Identify opportunities to streamline warranty-related processes for increased efficiency and accuracy.
Collaborate with relevant teams to implement process enhancements and improvements.
Training and Development:

Assist in training service advisors, technicians, and other staff members on proper warranty claim submission and documentation.
Conduct workshops or informational sessions to enhance understanding of warranty processes.
Data Analysis:

Analyze warranty data to identify patterns, trends, and potential areas of concern.
Provide insights to management regarding warranty performance, including claims approval rates, turnaround times, and cost analysis.
Qualifications:

Engineering Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical, and relevant certifications are a plus.
5 Years of practical experience as Warranty Mid/Senior in large-size automotive firms.
Strong understanding of automotive products, systems, and components.
Familiarity with warranty policies and guidelines of different manufacturers.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
Proficiency in using relevant software and tools for data entry and reporting.
Problem-solving skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
Prior experience in an automotive service, dealership, or warranty role is advantageous.
