Job Description:
- Conduct well site survey for offshore, onshore installations, prepare schematics of both gas detection and breathing air cascade system, Installation of fixed-point sensors, wireless gas detection based on client well plan.
- Supervise the H2S Unit / Container installation at the site and rig up/ setting up all necessary fixed or remote gas detection systems, alarms and ensure their safety aspects.
- Continuously monitor all the H2S equipment, the gas detection system and H2S alarm control panel on the site
- Maintain, Service and Testing of all in-house and client equipment to ensure they are in ready-to-go state.
- Trouble shoot, repair, test, and commission the full range of safety equipment in the field.
- Monitor and record H2S gas concentration on various activities such as Well Test Operations, Sour gas flaring, Coring, DST, TCP operations.
- Gas sampling such as H2S, LEL, CO2, SO2 and other gases if and as required.
- Conduct On site H2S Safety Induction, trainings, conduct emergency safety drills and ensure personnel proficiency in usage of the Breathing Equipment.
- Prepare site specific H2S induction training if required by Client.
- Participate safety meetings and toolbox talks.
- Participate in STOP card & NUHS programme
- Prepare Contingency Plans, Emergency Response Plan, Equipment maintenance report on equipment and internal audits.
- Discuss the observations and areas of improvements with onsite HSE and Company’s representatives.
- Conduct regular Simulated Drills (i.e.H2S Drills, Man Down Drill, Muster Drill as per Company’s guidelines and schedules.
- Supervise the emergency situations because of H2S release, provide recommendations to handle the situations and suggest the best practice methods to work under mask to control the situations for different operations e.g. well control etc.
- Prepare and submit the field Rutledge ISO reports on inspections, repairs, calibrations, testing, training records, inventories, drills etc. to Company representative and operations manager as required.
- Assist in confined space entry & gas testing.
- Prepare and submit the Customer Satisfaction Quality Questionnaire.
Requirements:
- Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Engineering (Petroleum/Oil/Gas), Geology/Geophysics or equivalent.
- Preferably with 2-5 years working experience in petrochemical facilities or oil & gas industry.
- Previous work experience as an offshore rig personnel such as electrical, drilling, mudlogging or safety is a definite advantage.
- A positive attitude with good problem-solving skills, creativity, displaying initiative and willing to work in a multi-cultural environment.
- Capable of representing Company before Clients and for business development.
- Bilingual in English and Arabic.
- Able to and stay at Client’s site for an extended duration.
