Job Description:

We are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Accountant to join our team at the Sulaymaniyah – Piramagron – Zewe Road. The Accountant will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records, supporting decision-making processes, and contributing to the overall success of our organization.

Responsibilities:

Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial data.
Prepare and analyze financial statements, reports, and budgets to support management decision-making and strategic planning.
Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, including vendor invoices, customer payments, and credit memos.
Monitor cash flow, banking transactions, and petty cash activities, ensuring compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements.
Assist with payroll processing, including calculation of employee salaries, deductions, and tax withholdings.
Prepare and file tax returns, including VAT and other regulatory filings, ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations.
Conduct periodic internal audits of financial transactions and processes to identify and address discrepancies, errors, and areas for improvement.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including management, department heads, and external auditors, to address financial issues and support business objectives.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation preferred.
Proven experience in accounting or financial management, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
Strong understanding of accounting principles, practices, and standards.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with internal and external stakeholders.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
