Accountant

Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Automotive Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in accounting and finance, with a focus on the automotive industry. The Automotive Accountant will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, performing reconciliations, analyzing financial data, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations.

Responsibilities:

Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
Monitor and analyze financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement.
Conduct regular bank and account reconciliations to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records.
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments, and collections.
Coordinate with other departments, such as sales and service, to gather necessary financial data for reporting and analysis.
Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes, providing insights and recommendations to improve financial performance.
Prepare tax returns and ensure compliance with tax regulations and reporting requirements.
Assist in audits by providing necessary financial documentation and explanations.
Handle month-end and year-end closing procedures, including accruals and journal entries.
Stay updated with industry regulations and accounting standards that pertain to the automotive sector.
Collaborate with the finance team to implement process improvements and automation initiatives.
Provide financial analysis and reports to management for decision-making purposes.
Ensure accurate coding and classification of expenses related to automotive operations.
Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records in accordance with best practices.

Qualifications:

Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Proven experience as an Accountant, preferably in the automotive industry.
Strong understanding of accounting principles, regulations, and financial reporting standards.
Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel.
Attention to detail and high level of accuracy in financial record-keeping.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Analytical mindset and ability to interpret financial data effectively.
Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and handle multiple tasks.
Knowledge of automotive industry operations, financial processes, and terminology is advantageous.
Experience in the AutoLink System will be of great advantage.
